NINTH ANNUAL I-CAR® EDUCATION FOUNDATION GOLF FUNDRAISER PRESENTED BY PPG AUTOMOTIVE REFINISH RAISES $30,000+ FOR SCHOLARSHIPS AND SCHOOL GRANTS

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL- September 8, 2010- The ninth annual I-CAR Education Foundation golf fundraiser, sponsored by PPG Automotive Refinish, raised over $30,000 for the Foundation’s Collision Repair Education Campaign (CREC) fund making it the largest annual golf fundraiser to date. A sold out crowd of 144 golfers enjoyed a day of golf at the Eaglewood Golf Course in Itasca, IL on July 22, 2010, followed by an evening reception at TopGolf. The funds raised from this event will go towards supporting upcoming scholarships and grants for collision schools and students.

“The Foundation’s annual golf event helps raise additional money for student scholarships and school grants. This golf fundraiser event achieved several milestones for the Foundation: registration sold out, sponsorship opportunities sold out, and the event raised $10,000 more than our previous year’s golf fundraiser in Washington, D.C. which at the time was the largest tournament to date,” said Scott Kruger, I-CAR Education Foundation Executive Director. “Thank you to our title sponsor PPG Automotive Refinish, all of our attendees, sponsors, and the Eaglewood and TopGolf staff that made this possible.”

Domenic Brusco, Sr. Manager, Industry Relations for PPG Automotive Refinish added, “We are pleased that the 2010 I-CAR Education Foundation golf fundraiser was a success and these additional funds raised will assist the Foundation’s efforts in increasing educational opportunities for collision students and students across the country.”
