STATE FARM® CONTRIBUTES $70,000 TO I-CAR COLLISION REPAIR EDUCATION FOUNDATION IN SUPPORT OF TECHNICAL STUDENTS AND SCHOOLS’ COLLISION EDUCATION

Hoffman Estates, IL, Oct. 4, 2010 — State Farm has displayed its commitment to “Fueling the Future” of the collision industry by contributing $70,000 to the Collision Repair Education Foundation. State Farm’s contribution is an investment into the entire industry as this enhances the Education Foundation’s ability to offer grants and scholarships to career and technical schools and colleges and the students attending these schools. By increasing educational opportunities for these students, who are tomorrow’s industry professionals, the future will be brighter for all segments.

The $70,000 contribution from State Farm will go towards the Education Foundation’s Collision Repair Education Campaign (CREC) fund which allows the Foundation to provide annual grants and scholarships to support schools, instructors, and students in collision education.

“The work of the Education Foundation is consistent with State Farm’s philosophy” says Chris Evans, State Farm Claim Consultant. “We believe that all young people deserve an education that helps them reach their potential and prepares them for life. Our support goes to programs that provide students the instruction, resources, and support they need to succeed.”

Scott Kruger, Education Foundation Executive Director, stated, ”On behalf of the staff, Board of Trustees, and the network of 1,300 schools that the Education Foundation supports across the country, I would like to thank State Farm for not only their 2010 contribution but also their continued support throughout the Education Foundation’s history. It is through this continued support that the Education Foundation can help ensure that students receive the best educational experience possible before entering into the industry.”
