ERGODYNE HELPS KEEP COLLISION STUDENTS SAFE WITH SAFETY GLOVE DONATION THROUGH COLLISION REPAIR EDUCATION FOUNDATION

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL – March 1, 2011 – Ergodyne has donated 600 pairs of their ProFlex® model gloves to the Collision Repair Education Foundation that will be distributed to secondary/post-secondary collision students across the country. Through this $15,000 in-kind product donation, Ergodyne joins a growing list of industry members who are supporting the Education Foundation’s at a high level and becoming a member of the organization’s Industry Leadership Circle donor recognition program.

“We’re excited to be part of the education of tomorrow’s automotive technicians,” said Tom Votel, CEO and President of Ergodyne. “Proper gloves are critical to a safe and productive career.”

Bridgerland Applied Technology Center Auto Collision Repair Student Dale Maples said, “I am a full-time student and have for years not used gloves while doing work due to gloves being cumbersome and restrictive. My thoughts were skinned knuckles and cut fingers were just part of the job. Upon receiving the donated Ergodyne gloves I was pleasantly surprised by the fit, freedom of movement, and the overall comfort of the ProFlex® glove. My tool chest won’t be without a pair or two of ProFlex® gloves from now on. The question I have now is what to do with all the Band-Aids I have in my tool box.”

Collision Repair Education Foundation Executive Director Scott Kruger said, “School instructors have had their collision department’s budgets so severely reduced that even the basics such as student safety equipment aren’t able to be purchased. Through Ergodyne’s glove donation, collision students will be able to work safely within the classroom when learning how to correctly repair collision damaged vehicles. We would like to thank Ergodyne for this first-time donation to the Foundation and look forward to working together with them in the future to assist collision students.”
