STATE FARM® CONTRIBUTES $70,000 TO COLLISION REPAIR EDUCATION FOUNDATION IN SUPPORT OF COLLISION STUDENTS’ EDUCATION

Hoffman Estates, IL – August 10, 2011 – State Farm has displayed its commitment to the future of the collision industry by contributing $70,000 to the Collision Repair Education Foundation. State Farm’s contribution is an investment into the entire industry as this enhances the Education Foundation’s ability to offer grants and scholarships to career and technical schools and colleges and the students attending these schools. By increasing educational opportunities for these students, who are tomorrow’s industry professionals, the future will be brighter for all segments.

The $70,000 contribution from State Farm will support the Foundation’s Collision Repair Education Campaign fund which allows the Foundation to provide its annual student scholarships, school grants, and the annual Ultimate Collision Education Makeover $50,000 school grant.

“The mission and vision of the Education Foundation are consistent with State Farm’s philosophy,” said Chris Evans, State Farm Claim Consultant. “We believe that all young people deserve an education that helps them reach their potential and prepares them for life. In this context, our support goes to collision repair programs that provide students the instruction, resources, and support they need to succeed.”

Scott Kruger, Collision Repair Education Foundation Executive Director, stated, “State Farm’s donation and long-standing partnership with the Education Foundation significantly help our efforts supporting secondary and post-secondary collision students and their school’s collision programs. It is through this continued support that the Education Foundation can help ensure that students receive the best educational experience possible before entering into the industry.”
