Hoffman Estates, IL- January 25, 2012 – 3M has come to the aid of 112 secondary and post-secondary collision programs across the country by donating sets of their Blue Fine Line Tape through the Collision Repair Education Foundation. The donation, in total equaling a retail value of $125,000, will ease school’s collision department budgets by providing students the opportunity to work with up-to-date supplies.
“In today’s tough economic climate and educational budget cuts, collision repair supplies such as this tape product are not available to all collision instructors to work with in their classrooms,” stated Collision Repair Education Foundation Executive Director, Scott Kruger. “3M’s tape donation to these schools will aid secondary and post-secondary collision students nationwide.”
3M Automotive Aftermarket Division Business Development Manager Mark Algie said, “3M is honored to continue our support of the Collision Repair Education Foundation and Career and Technical Schools all across the U.S. It is our hope and desire that these donations will in some small way help prepare the next generation of Collision Repair personnel for long, productive careers in our industry.”
