COLLISION REPAIR EDUCATION FOUNDATION AND AKZONOBEL’S “THE MOST INFLUENTIAL WOMEN OF THE COLLISION REPAIR INDUSTRY” ANNOUNCE 2012 SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL – June 1, 2012– The Collision Repair Education Foundation, in conjunction with AkzoNobel and The Most Influential Women of the Collision Repair Industry, is proud to award eight young women with scholarships to assist in their education and advancement in the collision industry. The 2012 winning collision students include:
$5,000 Award Recipient (Secondary)
Sabrina Chronister (Central PA Institute of Science and Technology – Pleasant Gap, PA)

$5,000 Award Recipient (Post-Secondary)
Rebecca Lindell (Delgado Community College – New Orleans, LA)

$2,000 Award Recipients (Secondary)
Tracy Borra (Boteourt Technical Education Center – Fincastle, VA)
Dayna Jean (Shawsheen Valley Technical High School – Billerica, MA)
Destinee Murray (New Market Skills Center – Tumwater, WA)

$2,000 Award Recipients (Post-Secondary)
Richelle Cook (Washtenaw Community College – Ann Arbor, MI)
Rebekah Shadowens (Texas State Technical College – Waco, TX)
Lianna Smith (Hillsborough Community College – Tampa, FL)

“Respecting the abilities of all individuals and clearing a path to enable those abilities to be nurtured is part of the AkzoNobel culture,” said Margret Kleinsman General Manager for AkzoNobel Automotive & Aerospace Coatings Americas. “For fourteen years AkzoNobel has had the privilege to honor, thru the Most Influential Women in the Collision Repair Industry Scholarship Program, the contributions of today’s leaders by helping to reduce barriers for a future generation. We too are leaders in the collision repair industry; helping to sustain its success is a responsibility that we willingly embrace.”

Established in 1999, The Most Influential Women of the Collision Repair Industry program annually recognizes the leadership contributions that are made by a unique group of individuals that have dedicated themselves to the betterment of this industry and their communities.
