Hoffman Estates, IL– June 1, 2012 – Mac Tools has supported secondary and post-secondary collision students by providing a student tool grant scholarship through the Collision Repair Education Foundation. Four students were selected from 250 applications and each wining student will be able to select $2,500 (retail) in products from Mac Tools. These tool grants were made available through the Collision Repair Education Foundation’s spring 2012 student scholarship and tool grant opportunities, which included over $125,000 in support through industry supporters.
The student winners of the 2012 spring Mac Tools grant include:
Austin Abernathy (Sikeston Career and Technology Center – Sikeston, MO)
John Lopez (Lincoln Technical Institute – Melrose Park, IL)
Ruslan Lysak (Green River Community College – Auburn, WA)
Mack Pettway (Bishop State Community College – Mobile, AL)
Collision Repair Education Foundation Associate Director of Development Brandon Eckenrode noted, “Tools can be a significant expense and through the generosity of Mac Tools, these four collision students are now better equipped to properly repair collision damaged vehicles.
