RYDELL CHEVROLET DONATES $14,000 IN PARTS TO TEN SCHOOLS THROUGH THE COLLISION REPAIR EDUCATION FOUNDATION — FIRST DEALERSHIP TO JOIN EDUCATION FOUNDATION’S INDUSTRY LEADERSHIP CIRCLE

Hoffman Estates, IL- September 27, 2012 – Rydell Chevrolet of Waterloo, Iowa donated $14,000 in parts to ten schools through the Collision Repair Education Foundation, becoming the first dealership to join the organization’s Industry Leadership Circle. The donated parts provided to each school include bumper covers and headlamps and are invaluable to the school’s collision programs as students are able to practice on current model vehicle parts. The ten schools provided with the donated parts include:

Franklin Technical Center (Joplin, MO)
Sarasota County Technical Institute (Sarasota, FL)
Tennessee Technology Center at Shelbyville (Shelbyville, TN)
Prosser School of Technology (New Albany, IN)
Lake Technical Center (Eustis, FL)
Northland Community & Technical College (Thief River Falls, MN)
Regional Career Tech Center (Ypsilanti, MI)
Texas State Tech College (Waco, TX)
Wiregrass Georgia Technical College (Valdosta, GA)
Chesapeake Center for Science and Technology (Chesapeake, VA)

Rydell Chevrolet Parts Manager Brian Tenley noted, “Rydell’s sees the value of continuing education in this ever changing industry and are very proud to be part of such a powerful foundation.”

Prosser School of Technology Auto Collision Teacher Mike Thacker said, “Thank you so much for the generous donation of bumpers and headlights to our students at Prosser Career Education Center. We strive to keep current and up to date with our students and the industry. It is vital that we allow our students to work on recent model parts and cars in order to stay current in the auto collision and repair industry and be an asset to any company they may work for in the future. The donation will assist our students in this goal.”
