HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL – December 10, 2012 – Mitchell International has donated their estimating software to over 400 collision school programs through the Collision Repair Education Foundation. This in-kind donation, valued at roughly $140,000, provides collision instructors with up-to-date industry software when most would not have been able to purchase this product due to their limited collision budgets. In addition to the product donation, Mitchell International also donated $5,000 to the organization’s Collision Repair Education Campaign fund which helps to provide annual scholarships, school grants, and the Ultimate Collision Education Makeover $50,000 grant.
Mitchell International Vice President of Industry Relations Greg Horn noted, “I am proud that Mitchell is continuing its over 60 year history of giving back to the collision industry. It is a privilege to help provide the tools to educate the next generation of collision repair technicians.”
Collision Repair Education Foundation Executive Director Clark Plucinski noted, “Now more than ever do secondary and post-secondary collision school instructors need the industry’s support. School collision budgets are shrinking and yet the instructors are being asked to provide the best technical education to their students, the future professionals of the industry. I thank Mitchell International for their incredible in-kind estimating software donation to several hundred schools, as this will provide instructors with current software. Through this cooperative effort of assisting the schools with monetary and product donations, we can provide a brighter future for the industry.”
