SOCIETY OF COLLISION REPAIR SPECIALISTS (SCRS) DONATES GENERAL MEMBERSHIPS TO 245 COLLISION SCHOOL PROGAMS THROUGH THE COLLISION REPAIR EDUCATION FOUNDATION

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL – February 20, 2013 – The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) has donated 245 memberships to secondary and post-secondary collision school programs through the Collision Repair Education Foundation, a $73,500 value. Through the general membership donation each school will receive a window decal, membership certificate, access to SCRS member information and all association communications.

SCRS Executive Director Aaron Schulenburg noted, “Supporting our industry’s education system is an integral part of our association’s mission to educate, inform and represent the collision repair professional. It is our hope that the schools and instructors will take advantage of the information and resources, to help educate their students on the activities taking place within the industry, and that the students will foster an appreciation for the support structure that exists within the industry, once they enter the workforce.”

Collision Repair Education Foundation Director of Development Brandon Eckenrode noted, “I would like to thank SCRS for their support of the Collision Repair Education Foundation and the secondary and post-secondary collision school programs that our organization works towards assisting nationwide. Many collision instructors are facing limited budgets and through working together with industry organizations like SCRS, we can show the educators of the industry’s future professionals that we care and are looking to keep them current on industry information. I look forward to working together with the SCRS Board of Directors on helping to inform their members of where their local collision school programs are located and how they can get involved in supporting the collision students and instructors.”

Industry members that are interested in supporting secondary and post-secondary collision school programs through the Collision Repair Education Foundation should visit https://www.collisioneducationfoundation.org and contact Director of Development Brandon Eckenrode at 847.463.5244 or Brandon.Eckenrode@ed-foundation.org.
