3M AIDS 312 COLLISION SCHOOLS WITH $250,000 PRODUCT DONATION THROUGH COLLISION REPAIR EDUCATION FOUNDATION

Hoffman Estates, IL—June 13, 2013—3M helps 312 secondary and post-secondary collision school programs nationwide by donating more than 15,000 rolls of 3/4” tape and more than 22,000 rolls of 2” tape through the Collision Repair Education Foundation. This donation, with a monetary value of roughly $250,000, will help ease the pain of budget cuts on these programs.

Mark Algie, Business Development Manager of the 3M Automotive Aftermarket Division notes, “We believe in what the Collision Repair Education Foundation stands for and this is just our simple way in which we can help as many schools as possible. It is our hope that these donations help in some small way, so that the students, schools and ultimately the industry will benefit.”

Collision instructor Rich Chandler of the George Stone Technical Center in Pensacola, Florida states, “On behalf of the George Stone Automotive Collision Repair and Refinish class we would like to thank you for your generous donation. The cost of consumable supplies eats up a major portion of our budget and your donation helped tremendously.”

Greg Thomas, Auto Collision Repair Program Chair at Athens Technical College in Athens, Georgia notes, “Once again we owe you a debt of gratitude for the wonderful donation we received with the masking tape. We love 3M products and their tape really is the standard in the collision industry.”

Collision Repair Education Foundation Director of Development Brandon Eckenrode said, “3M has again gone above and beyond to help collision educators across the country in providing them with up-to-date materials to ensure their students receive a proper technical education. I thank 3M for their continued support and taking an active role in assisting the collision school programs.”
