REGISTRATION OPENS FOR COLLISION REPAIR EDUCATION FOUNDATION’S 2014 SUMMER GOLF FUNDRAISER • HELICOPTER GOLF BALL DROP AVAILABLE FOR ALL INDUSTRY MEMBERS TO PARTICIPATE

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL – February 6, 2014 –Registration is available online for the Collision Repair Education Foundation’s annual summer golf fundraiser, taking place Thursday, July 31, 2014 in Detroit, MI. Golfers will enjoy a round of golf at the Arnold Palmer designed Northville Hills Golf Club and the event is expected to be sold-out by April. This fundraiser takes place in conjunction with the Collision Industry Conference (CIC), I-CAR, and now NACE industry meetings being held that week in Detroit. Funds raised through this event assist the Education Foundation in providing support to collision repair students and their school’s collision programs.

Industry professionals who might not be able to attend the event can still score a hole-in-one through the helicopter golf ball drop fundraiser that will take place as part of the event, presented by LORD Corporation. Individuals can sponsor golf balls ($25 each ball/ 5 for $100) that will be dropped from a helicopter over a hole on the Northville Hills Golf Club course the day of the event. In recognition of the Education Foundation’s 23rd anniversary, whoever sponsors the numbered golf ball that goes in the hole (or the closest to the pin) will win 23% of the golf ball sales, which if all 1200 are sold would result in a $7,000 American Express gift card prize. Participants do not need to be present to win.

Several sponsorship opportunities are still available for businesses to participate in the event and help the Education Foundation raise even more funds for the high school and college collision school programs they support through donations. Early-bird individual player registration is $225 p/person ($900 foursome team) before April 1, 2014 and $275 p/person ($1,100 foursome team) after April 1, 2014. Registration includes 18 holes of golf, cart rental, complimentary beverages/snacks on the course, lunch, dinner, attendee promotional items, and the opportunity to participate in several contests on the course. For those attendees who will be traveling into Detroit to attend industry meetings that week, complimentary transportation will be provided to and from the industry events to the golf course.

Those interested in registering, sponsoring, and/or participating with the golf ball drop fundraiser should contact Director of Development Brandon Eckenrode at Brandon.Eckenrode@ed-foundation.org/ 847-463-5244.
