HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL – July 14, 2014 – There are still several spots remaining for the Collision Repair Education Foundation’s 13th annual golf fundraiser taking place Thursday, July 31, 2014 in Detroit, MI during Industry Week. Participants will enjoy a round of golf at the Arnold Palmer designed Northville Hills Golf Club. Industry members who are not attending the events in Detroit have the opportunity to win up to $7000 by participating in the event’s helicopter golf ball drop fundraiser, presented by LORD Corporation. Individuals can purchase golf balls ($25 each ball/ 5 for $100) that will be dropped from a helicopter over a hole on the Northville Hills Golf Club course the day of the event. In recognition of the Education Foundation’s 23rd anniversary, whoever sponsors the numbered golf ball that goes in the hole (or the closest to the pin) will win 23% of the golf ball sales, which if all 1200 are sold would result in a $7,000 American Express gift card prize. Participants do not need to be present to win.
Collision Repair Education Foundation Director of Development Brandon Eckenrode noted, “As funds raised during this event assist the Education Foundation’s in supporting the future professionals of the industry, I am putting the request out to the industry and for 200 individuals to each purchase five golf balls ($100 total) to help us sell out our helicopter golf ball drop and raise an additional $20,000 for the event. Please consider purchasing five golf balls and join us in our efforts to support the industry’s future.”
Individual player registration is $275 p/person ($1,100 foursome team). Registration includes 18 holes of golf, cart rental, complimentary beverages/snacks on the course, lunch, dinner, attendee promotional items, and the opportunity to participate in several contests on the course. For those attendees who will be traveling into Detroit to attend industry meetings that week, complimentary transportation will be provided to and from the industry events to the golf course.
