Hoffman Estates, IL – September 23, 2014 – The Hertz Corporation has donated $30,000 to the Collision Repair Education Foundation to assist the charitable organization’s efforts to support high school and college collision school programs, instructors, and students across the country. Hertz participated as a sponsor of both the Education Foundation’s record-breaking summer golf fundraiser in Detroit and also the recent Dallas “Car’s Careers and Celebrities” expo event, which was the largest grossing fundraiser to date for the organization.
“The Collision Repair Education Foundation is a great organization that Hertz is proud to support. The body shop and insurance industries have been instrumental partners for Hertz as demonstrated by our double digit growth over the past 15 years resulting in nearly 3,000 off airport locations strategically located across the nation,” said John J. Holt, Hertz Senior Vice President Off-Airport Operations, North America. “This expansion couldn’t have happened without the alliance of the body shop industry and we are pleased to contribute to the Collision Repair Education Foundation.”
Collision Repair Education Foundation Executive Director Clark Plucinski noted, “I would like to thank The Hertz Corporation not only for their continued support but also stepping up to make this significant investment in 2014. Only together can the industry come together to assist collision school programs to ensure that they graduate well-trained and capable collision students who are ready for entry-level employment.”
