NASHVILLE and KNOXVILLE I-CAR COMMITTEES AWARDS $48,000 IN SCHOOL GRANTS

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL – November 9, 2016 –The Nashville and Knoxville I-CAR Committees have awarded four schools with $48,000 in school grants at the Collision Repair Education Foundation’s annual reception at SEMA. The schools applied for the Education Foundation’s 2016 Ultimate Collision Education Makeover school grant and these funds will help fulfill the schools collision program’s wish list of needed tools, equipment, and supplies. The school grant recipients include:

Nashville I-CAR Committee
TCAT (Shelbyville, TN): $21,500
TCAT (Livingston, TN): $7,000

Knoxville I-CAR Committee
TCAT (Knoxville, TN): $10,000
TCAT (Morristown, TN): $10,000

The funds were raised by the Nashville and Knoxville I-CAR Committee and included fundraising events such as their annual golf event.

Wayne Griffin, state chairman for I-CAR in Tennessee, stated, “I am so proud of the Nashville and Knoxville committees for the time and effort they have put forward in raising this money to better our industry. Both committees have stepped up and shown what a difference they can make in the lives of our young technicians lives and by showing support not only with these monetary contributions but with the time they also give to the schools they prove that they are truly the industry leaders in their markets. I know how much each of the schools appreciate their support and I would like to take this opportunity to say to each one of the members…Thanks for being a part of the team and supporting our industry.”
