COLLISION REPAIR EDUCATION FOUNDATION SETS GOAL TO RAISE $100,000 FOR CHICAGO HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE COLLISION SCHOOL PROGRAMS BY NACE AUTOMECHANIKA CHICAGO

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL – January 26, 2017 – The Collision Repair Education Foundation announced a goal of raising $100,000 for Chicago Public School and City Colleges of Chicago collision school programs by NACE Automechanika Chicago this July. Over the next the next 6 months, the Collision Repair Education Foundation will be gathering support and donations from individuals and businesses that will be used to help Chicago collision school instructors ensure that their students receive the best technical education possible. Tax-deductible donations towards this initiative can be made online by selecting the “Chicago Schools Fund” or by texting “CHI” to 4-1444 and an individual can select the amount they would like to donate. A check presentation will take place on stage during NACE Automechanika Chicago the week of July 24th.

Collision Repair Education Foundation Director of Development Brandon Eckenrode noted, “As automotive and industry members from around the country will be gathering in our hometown of Chicago this July, we would like to ask for their support in helping us reach our goal of raising $100,000 that will be distributed to inner-city Chicago high school and college collision school programs. This is our opportunity to showcase the industry’s generosity when we come together this summer and allow Chicago students see that the industry cares about their technical education and future.”

“As the largest trade show focused on high-end technical training and product discovery for the automotive collision and service repair shops, we are extremely excited to be working with the Collision Repair Education Foundation (CREF).  We are honored to have a role in promoting the great work of CREF,” commented show director, Bridget Ferris.  “Supporting our industry is the fundamental element on which NACE Automechanika Chicago was developed and it is our hope that others will join us in assisting with programs created to develop these future automotive professionals.”

Questions regarding this initiative can be directed to Collision Repair Education Foundation Director of Development Brandon Eckenrode at Brandon.Eckenrode@ed-foundation.org/ 847-463-5244.
