HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL- August 23, 2010 – Celette Inc. and Elektron Inc. have come to the aid of Steel Center Area Vocational Technical School, the I-CAR Education Foundation’s 2009 Ultimate Collision Education Makeover school grant winner, by donating an Elektron MI-100 welder with accessories. The donated equipment, valued at $20,000, was requested by Steel Center Area Vocational Technical School through their Ultimate Collision Education Makeover school grant application. The Elektron welder, along with the other equipment, tools, and supplies that the school received through the Makeover grant, will be on display during the ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, September 9th. Hoffman Estates, IL – August 17, 2010– The I-CAR Education Foundation has announced a brand new program for collision career and technical schools and colleges. Starting this fall, all secondary and post-secondary technical schools and colleges that have a collision repair program will be invited to complete a “Collision Repair School Solutions” survey. The Education Foundation will use the results to track general program information, key academic performance indicators, and program needs for new tool and equipment to train the students. Hoffman Estates, IL– August 5, 2010 – Industry professionals are invited to join Steel Center Area Vocational Technical School in Jefferson Hills, PA and the I-CAR Education Foundation the afternoon of Thursday, September 9th for a ribbon cutting ceremony in celebration of the school winning the first annual Ultimate Collision Education Makeover $50,000 school grant. On display during the event will be the tools, equipment, supplies, and other items that the school obtained through the grant. Hoffman Estates, IL– June 29, 2010 – Industry professionals who register online for the International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE) 2010 will have the ability to make a tax-deductible donation to the I-CAR Education Foundation and help support the Education Foundation’s efforts in making an impact in the lives of automotive collision students across the country. Online registrants will have the option of making a $5, $10, $25, or $50 donation to the foundation and as a “thank you,” those individuals who make a $50 donation will receive a NACE 2010/I-CAR Education Foundation technician shirt at the expo. These types of donations help make Education Foundation projects such as the Ultimate Collision Education Makeover $50,000 school grant, student scholarships, and other support projects possible for automotive collision schools and students.
