Students in the Auto Body Program learn the various techniques of painting and refinishing the body of a vehicle. The students learn to change panels and parts, repair dents, water sand, and mix and spray various paints. Emphasis is placed on problem solving, creativity, and teamwork. Instruction in brazing, soldering and MIG welding practices are stressed. Students develop skills in the preparation of surfaces to be painted, matching and mixing paint, and spraying techniques.
